How to use this site
This is a question whose answer is always changing, because we constantly add tools and conviniences for students. This will try to explain the tools many users overlook. By making this website your home page you will save yourself tons of trouble and heres why. The center of the main page gives you news and weather reports, updated on the hour. You will also notice the Google search bar and all of Google's other tools are at your fingertips, while also being able to search the NCSU website instead of just google.
On the left side of the page, you will see a list of everyday links from the NCSU site. Many of these are hard to find, even when diving into the internet. Right below the NCSU links is an Announcement Block that will only show up if there are announcements running. If not, the ForThePack block will be right below the NCSU links. While it will help you contact us and tell your friends about us, it contains a very special link: "Customize". This link will allow you to add up to twelve of your own links in two categories, My Courses and Custom Links. Theme selection is on the way as well.
On the right hand side of the page you will notice links that are not exactly related to school, but will definatley save you alot of address typing. Popular entertainment solutions around the triangle are listed, as well as two very popular NCSU student sites in the top right hand corner: The Wolf Web (Message Board and Community) and The Facebook. Sports, local venues, and alternative news solutions are also on the right.
In a few last minute remarks, on the bottom of the page, right above the copyright information, you will find the current date and time. On holidays, the holiday will be included in the date text in case you forget. Unfortunatley, it will not remember your mothers birthday, but over 70 well known and not-so-well known holidays will appear. As for the sponsor occupied portions of the site, our policy is no pop-ups, and nothing annoying or obnoxious. You only find local buisnesses with something to offer to the student community.

ForThePack.com was founded in July of 2004. It was created to bring a useful and practical home page to the fingertips of the average student at North Carolina State University. It received it's new look April 1, 2005, giving the webpage a great look and incomparable convenience. Owned and operated by Mike Roselli, it is updated frequently and continues to provide NCSU students with the best home page possible.
This web site has been designed for a screen geometry of 800 X
600 pixels at a minimum. It is best viewed at a setting of 1024 X 768
pixels or higher. Mozilla Firefox is the prefered browser for using this site. IE will still display the page, but we think Firefox absolutley rocks and that you should get it right now.

Mike Roselli is currently a Senior at North Carolina State University, majoring in Civil Engineering. He enjoys spending his free time listening to and playing music, video and table top gaming, and the occasional game of raquetball, frisbee golf, or Go.
